Me & SVA: Our way of doing an itsy bit for the planet!
"I am an artist based in Hebron, KY. Painting has been my 'joie de vivre' since the age of 5.I have trained in water color and fabric art in India, my birthplace.

In August of 2006, I gave form to a dream named SVA, designed to be the place for one of a kind hand-painted eco-chic art. SVA actually means "self"/"soul" in Sanskrit.

A true Piscean,I love color, creativity, and fashion. The idea behind SVA is to create a fusion of art and style through being green. Every piece is freshly hand-painted using non-toxic fabric colors and embellishments. I truly enjoy working on Jute (100% recyclable and bio-degradable), also called the "golden fibre"-a process that is tricky, yet redeeming. All of SVA's accessories are specially custom-designed by a fair trade small business based in Hyderabad, India. Every piece is crafted by a group of rural women, whose lives are empowered in the process."

What Inspires my work?
My love for nature, color, my sensitivity toward issues that enrich life, and my supportive husband.

My Favorite Designers include Linda Loudermilk, Anita Dongre, and Ecoist brand of handbags.

Trends at SVA - what's cooking this spring/summer...
We have our hands full designing a lovely collection of jute+cotton diaper bags for little boys and girls. Did you know that jute is also known for its anti-skin irritation properties?That makes it oh-so perfect for our little angels....won't give any more away at the moment. Also in the works is the perfect eco-friendly laptop bag for ladies. Tired of the big, heavy, black leather and rexine monster bags out there? Our bags are so comfy and sure to please.
